Jim Dieter started in this industry racing in 1980 driving a Tamiya Rough Rider. After that wonderful treat of a vehicle Jim moved onto racing an Associated 12E car. After racing the 12th cars Jim decided to build his own versions of 12th scale cars. His first two sponsors were TRINITY and Delta. Jim started working for TRINITY Products INC in 1991, left for a brief while then returned in 1997. Jim decided to leave Trinity again to venture different opportunities and is now back. Basically, Jim found out the grass isn’t greener and plush on the other side of the fence.

Jim is also a registered USAC mechanic from the age 15. There were many race teams with Johnny Parsons, Pancho Carter, Rich Vogler, and many others Jim worked with. Jim has built little remote control race cars along with the big race cars, and motors for all of them.

In Jims spare time he builds hot rods, but the time is usually not accessible due to all the work he does in the RC industry. His first assembly was a small block Chevy at the age of 16. To this day Jim still builds hot rods when there is time.

Jim told us here at Trinity about his worst Job, which happened to be at a steel mill. At that job Jim poured steel, worked the lines, was a 1st torchman and got burned up...a bunch.

Favorite driver, well Jim would rather not get into that one...
