IB 4600
Batteries & Brushless motors WIN...
The Snowbirds Nationals race in Orlando, Florida.
By Paul Lemieux:
The snowbirds race is one of the most major events of the year,
in that it attracts drivers from all over the world to come. At
the Birds they race both road course and oval as the format is basically
road for 12hrs then oval for 12hrs. This is a typical snowbirds
race day.
Practice:
All throughout practice you could almost immediately figure out
the race was going to be a difficult and close event due to the
already close field of drivers which has already developed and developing
even more so as everyone got their cars working. This not only applied
to road course, but also with the oval side of the race.
Qualifying:
On-road: On the on-road side of the race Team
Trinity started of a bit slow for most of the drivers except for
Travis Schreven showing he will be a competitor to be aware of early
in qualifying, setting TQ in the stock TC class and also being very
fast in 19t.
And in the on road side it was Team Trinity/Xray driver Travis
Shreven taking the tq spot in stock TC. In the modified touring
class for Trinity/Xray, I ended up taking the top qualifying spot
in the last round during the final race.
Oval: In the oval side of the race Team Trinity’s
driver Pete D’agnolo started off pretty well putting in good
runs in his respective classes. As the rounds went down and the
last round came about the team really came threw with Pete D setting
the TQ in the two most Prestigious oval classes, (mod 4 cell and
10.5).
Finals:
Oval: Unfortunately, some of the finals did
not go as well as qualifying. In the prestigious modified oval and
modified touring car categories the storey had a happy ending. Pete,
and myself starting from the top qualifying position grabbed a fist
full of throttle when the tone of the a-main final went off and
never looking back! Fortunately in the end Pete took home the combined
classes’ trophy, for oval. It was the combination of finishes
between the modified oval and 10.5 oval classes.
On-road: Over to the road course side of
the event it was the best combination finishes for modified touring
and modified 12th scale. I was fortunate enough to gain this title
as I was able to win modified touring car and finish respectively
in 12th scale. In mod 12th, team Trinity driver Mike Dumas had a
good final. Mike had some bad luck throughout qualifying and had
to start in the fifth position. When the tone went off, Mike was
on a charge to the front and almost gained the lead. Unfortunately
at the end of eight minute event, he came up short and finished
about one second behind the leader. In stock touring car and 19
turn touring car classes, Travis Schreven had some troubles but
still put in great podium finishes. Congratulations to the winners
of all classes.
Winning gear:
On-road: Powering Paul’s Xray T2 in
the mod TC class was a Trinity 4.0 brushless and a Trinity 6 cell
IB 4600 battery, Paul geared his 4.0 at 8.8 overall ratio with a
tire size of 56mm.
Oval: Powering Pete's oval car was also a
Trinity 4 turn brushless motor and a Trinity IB 4600 battery.
We would like to Thank:
Trinity would like to thank our team which attended this race. Travis
schreven, Ralph Birch, Drew Ellis, Barry Baker, Bobby flack, Pete
D'agnono, Mark Smyka, Jeff Dayger, Paul Lemieux, Mike Dumas and
also Team manager Jim Dieter for his efforts. Last, but definitely
not to be forgotten the entire snowbirds crew for putting on another
great race and we will be looking forward to the event again next
year.

FALL BRAWL…
The race was held in Myrtle Beach South Carolina from Nov 30-dec 2nd
at the Badlands R/C track. Racers from all over the region and surrounding
states came to duke it out. Trinity being the main sponsor of the
event sent Chad Phillips with lots of race prizes to give out to those
who attended the race. The
track...
The Track was awesome. It had big 2 big triple, a double, 2 table
tops, and a crossover. The track has more traction that I had ever
ran on before. It was also super smooth. At the end of practice, there
was a big blue groove around the track.Picture of the track below;

Qualifying and Mains...
Travis Dupree had tq'd buggy and truggy after 4 rounds of qualifying
then went on to win both classes. In Sportsman's Casey Bias tq'd and
electrical problems caused him to drop out early. At the end of Sportsman,
Little Justin Atkins won the sportsman's class. Watch out for this
kid, he is only 10 years old. I expect him to become quite the racer
as he gets older! In the open 1/10 class it was all Alex Birmingham.
Congratulations to those who won! Conclusion...
This years event was awesome. Badlands crew did an awesome job of
preparing the track, the race went on flawlessly, the food was great
and so were the people. Until next year. God Speed. Click

CLEVELAND
US INDOOR CHAMPS
UNBEATABLE
|
THE EMPIRE STIKES
BACK…
Trinity brought out their big guns over the Thanksgiving weekend
for the “2007 US Indoor Champs” held annually in Cleveland,
Ohio. This event is one of the most prestigious carpet races in
the world and has been held in the ballroom of the Rockside, Oh.
Holiday Inn for an unbelievable 28 years.
Trinity Products, previously a major sponsor of this event for
many years prior, took this opportunity to show off a list of new
products in their booth located in the hallway adjacent to the track.
The newly released Duo brushless motors were a big hit with the
racers who were just waiting to get a chance to see all of them
on display because the DUO’S are very new and not everyone
has had a chance to see them. The new EP 4600 batteries on display
were possibly the star of the show, considering how many racers
were running them AND winning with them. The new T8 hauler bag and
the “Now RTR” 1/16th scale, Li-pro powered, brushless
RTR blew the racers away as well as the 4500 MAH Li-PRO Racing packs
and many, many more items.
Trinity not only brought there "A" game on the track,
but also motor man, tuner extraordinaire Jim Dieter returning to
Trinity bringing the team his endless expertise and advice and World
Championship, race winning experience!
World renowned team drivers, Brian Kinwald, Paul Lemiuex, Ralph
Burch, Jeff Dayger, Drew Ellis and Mike Dumas were in attendance,
even the CEO Ernest Provetti and President Tony P drove to the race
from home base in New Jersey for team support.
On to the racing, with Jim Dieter at the helm and help from Chad
Phillips, coupled with the talents of the team drivers…. Trinity
showed early on that they would be a formidable for the competition
would need to watch out for in all the classes the team entered.
This historic race has so many driver entries; there is always
a limited amount of practice time which leaves little room for error.
And while testing during the limited practice time, the team, of
course try’s to stay one step ahead of the competition and
everyone contributes 110%. This dedication and hard work surely
paid off and in the early rounds of qualifying, drivers running
Trinity motors and batteries had power over and above the competition.
At the end of qualifying, to prove that point….. Trinity placed
five out of ten motors in the Mod Touring car “A” main
not to mention that four out of ten of those drivers were running
the new Trinity EP 4600 cells, more than any other manufacture represented
at this race. This major accomplishment would clearly point to Trinity
as the dominate motor and battery manufacture of the 2007 Cleveland
Indoor Champs!
In the number one class, Modified Touring Car, Ralph Burch rose
to the top of this world class group of drivers and POWERED himself
to the top qualifying position in the last round of qualifying.
When all the chips were on the table, he was “all in”
for the win and when it was “A” main time, Ralph was
“in it to win it” and drove away from the pack, never
even looked back! A huge vote of thanks and job well done go to
Ralph as well as the entire team in mod touring car.
In the Stock Touring Car class it was Trinity team driver Jeff
Cuffs who qualified in a very respectful second spot providing him
with the best chance of pressuring the leader for the win. Well,
I must say that when the horn went off, Jeff made a pass around
the top qualifier within the first three turns of the twisting and
demanding track giving him the lead. Jeff not only jumped into the
lead spot with pure horsepower and driving skills, he continued
to pull away from the pack for the rest of the race giving Trinity
yet another win at this prestigious and revered racing event.
A heat felt congratulations and thanks goes out to all the winners
and of course the entire team for a great performance at the US
Indoor Championships in 2007. We all look forward to seeing how
many wins we will capture at the next Cleveland Indoor Champs in
2008!

Driver Adam Drake Does
it again at the Sidwinder Nitro Explosion...
Over the past weekend was a great race for Trinity Fuel and Adam Drake
“Draked” engines at the Sidewinder Nitro Explosion at Thunder
Alley Raceway. Also heard from an inside source this track might be
the host for the 2008 ROAR 1/8th buggy Nationals. Unfortunately the

Like most other remote control events many of the top US drivers attended,
including are some of the following; Ryan Mayfield, Mike Truhe, Ryan
Cavalieri, Jeremy Kortz, Greg Degani, Gary Guest, Scott Hughes, Levi
Jackson, Brent Theilke and many more. Adam showed his skills by starting
on grid in the 1/8th truck A-main in the first position and a respectable
second position in 1/8th buggy expert class. During the warm-up Adam
new that he had a good chance to finish well since every thing was working
together from his Platinum fuel, Adam Drake “Draked” engines
and Losi vehicles. Needless to say Adam performed in fashion once again
showing his domination in the 1/8th truck and 1/8th buggy 45 min finals
bringing home both wins.

Hazelwood, Karl Jackson, David Bailey, Darren Bloomfield, Richard
Barton, Tommy Chung, Stewart Wilcox, Mike Craddock, David Spashett

In the truggy class Adam tq'ed and had almost a 20 sec. leading
at the 15 min mark, but broke a rear driveshaft and was out of the
race. In the growing buggy class, Adam qualified 2nd behind Mike
Truhe. I won my semi final and start third on the grid for the final.

the dust cleared Adam won the final buy almost a lap.

Two Separate Races

Last weekend
was a very busy time for Trinity/Losi driver Adam Drake. The hectic
start was on Saturday morning, it was the 5th round of the Southern
California Nitro Series. Adam once again with his winning skills TQ'ed
both 1/10th truck and 1/8th buggy with the help of his power house
Adam Drake, Draked Engines from Trinity. He went on to win the 1/10th
truck class and finished second in 1/8th buggy when the mains were
over. Unfortunately in buggy he had a few mechanical issues causing
him to place second, but his losi buggy was handling excellent until
the minor problems.
Next morning Adam drove to Revelation Raceway for the OFNA Off-Road
Championships on Sunday. Yes, you read correctly, he drove to another
race during the same weekend knowing he was going to miss one round
of qualifying that was on Saturday while he was winning the main at
another event.
Adam skills were just top notch going into the last two rounds of
qualifying giving him TQ for the event and the only driver to run
10 laps. When the long 40 minute final was over, Adam Won by almost
two laps over second place...
Congrats Adam and thanks for all the hard work.

In the Truggy division Adam was once again the man by taking TQ in
every round with his Team Losi Racing 8ight T Race Roller. Adam went
on the place 2 nd his Semifinal which placed him 3 rd on the grid.
While leading the 30 minute main Adam ran out of fuel but stayed in
the hunt by finishing 3 rd overall.
We would like to congratulate Adam on a great performance! Great job
Adam!!
